Since its founding in 1989, the Emma Bowen Foundation’s (EBF) mission has been to increase diversity in media across all functions and levels. This summer, EBF continued its esteemed fellowship program, supporting 245 college students of color in a wide range of positions in the media, entertainment and technology industries. Along with placing students in career-launching internships, EBF also offers scholarships for eligible students and has distributed nearly $6 million in scholarships since 2012. EBF’s 70+ member companies offer valuable experiences for students to learn about the considerable variety of jobs available in the industry, including:

  • Content (journalism, digital)
  • Business (marketing, HR, public relations)
  • Innovation (technology, engineering)

The WICT Network Announces Honorees for 2023 Women of The Year and Women to Watch

The WICT Network has announced it will honor Dalila Wilson-Scott, EVP & Chief Diversity Officer of Comcast Corporation, and President of the Comcast NBCUniversal Foundation; and Pam Kaufman, President & CEO of International Markets, Global Consumer Products & Experiences, Paramount, with its Woman of the Year – Programmer award. Woman of the Year is The WICT Network’s highest individual accolade, bestowed on those who embody its mission to develop women leaders who transform the industry. Honorees have achieved top industry status and show great resolve to help others along their path. Awards to be presented during the Touchstones Luncheon, Monday, September 18

NAMIC Announces 2023 Award Recipients

NAMIC recently announced the 2023 award recipients. The awardees will be celebrated at the Annual Awards Luncheon Ceremony on Wednesday, September 20, during the 37th Annual NAMIC conference at the New York Marriott Marquis. This year’s theme, “Our Legacy, A Mosaic of Possibilities,” honors NAMIC’s efforts to empower diversity, equity, access, and inclusion in the media, entertainment, and technology industries, something each of the recipients embodies.

Alliance for Women in MediaAWMF and NCTA Scholarship Recipient Announced

Congratulations to this year’s Alliance for Women in Media (AWM) Foundation and NCTA scholarship recipient, Zuri Wilson, who is studying Film, Media and Black Studies at UC Santa Barbara. The Alliance for Women in Media Foundation seeks to create positive change in media by supporting scholarships that benefit students pursuing careers in media and allied fields.
