NALIP Media Summit July 19-21
The National Association of Latino Independent Producers (“NALIP”) biggest annual event is coming to you virtually, July 19-21. Last year’s NALIP Media Summit welcomed over 1,300 attendees worldwide and over 100 speakers from across the media and entertainment industry landscape.
The NALIP Media Summit brings Latinx creatives to celebrate, connect, and learn from top-level industry professionals through impactful sessions, workshops, mentorship opportunities, and screenings. The summit is created to empower filmmakers to take their careers to new heights. By meeting future collaborators, staying up to date with industry trends, and gaining insight as to how executives and creatives in different sectors within entertainment are pushing for diversity and inclusion.

NAMIC to host Intersectionality in the Workplace: Broadening our Lens of Inclusion & Culture
Anne-Marie Burton, Chief, Strategy and Programs, NAMIC, Inc. will host a discussion with Karishma Rahman Azmat, Director, International Marketing, ViacomCBS and Denise Bennett Vice President, Brand Strategy, iHeartMedia on understanding the importance of intersectionality and how employees’ multiple identities define their experiences in and outside the work environment. The T. Howard Foundation’s 28th Diversity Awards Dinner will be held Thursday, September, 28, 2021 at Cipriani Wall Street in New York. The Foundation Dinner recognizes and celebrates industry leaders and companies committed to increasing diversity and inclusion in the media and entertainment industry. Categories and honorees for this year’s event are Alumna of Distinction Award, ROSALYN DURANT, Senior Vice President of Operations, Walt Disney World Resort; Executive Leadership Award, CHARLIE COLLIER, Chief Executive Officer FOX Entertainment and; Diversity Advocate Award, SOLEDAD O’BRIEN, documentarian, journalist, speaker, author and philanthropist.
