  • ACC - Association of Cable Communicators -- The only national, professional organization specifically addressing the issues, needs and interests of the cable industry’s communications and public affairs professionals.
  • ARNC - Association of Regional News Channels -- The ARNC represents more than 25 local and regional cable news channels and all-news stations owned or operated by respected media companies. The goal of the ARNC is to encourage and promote the role of 24-hour local and regional television news organizations in fostering and preserving the highest journalistic standards of the news media.
  • BCFM - Broadcast Cable Financial Management Association - Provides education, networking, information, and signature products to meet the diverse needs of financial and business professionals in the broadcast, cable, and electronic media industries throughout the U.S. and Canada.
  • Cable Center, The - Provides education and information to the educational community, the cable industry, and the public, while celebrating cable’s contributions to society.
  • Cable Positive - Cable Positive will mobilize the talents, resources, access and influence of the cable and telecommunications industry to raise HIV/AIDS awareness; support HIV/AIDS education, prevention and care; and strive to end stigma by creating a more compassionate climate for people whose lives have been affected by HIV or AIDS.
  • CableLabs - Cable Television Laboratories -Founded in 1988 by members of the cable television industry, Cable Television Laboratories is a non-profit research and development consortium that is dedicated to pursuing new cable telecommunications technologies and to helping its cable operator members integrate those advancements into their business objectives.
  • CAB - Cabletelevision Advertising Bureau - Founded in 1980, the Cabletelevision Advertising Bureau is a television advertising advocacy group dedicated to providing advertisers and their agencies with the most current, complete and actionable media insights at the national, DMA and local levels.
  • CIC - Cable in the Classroom - The cable industry’s education foundation, works to expand and enhance learning opportunities for children and youth. Created in 1989 to help schools take advantage of educational cable programming and technology, CIC has become a leading national advocate for media literacy education and for the use of technology and media for learning, as well as a valuable resource for educational cable content and services for policymakers, educators and industry leaders.
  • CTAM - Cable and Telecommunications Association for Marketing - Dedicated to helping the cable business grow. As a non-profit professional association, CTAM provides marketing education and networking opportunities to more than 5,500 members, through conferences, consumer research, publications, www.ctam.com, a network of regional chapters, and the CTAM Executive Management Program at the Harvard Business School.
  • CTHRA - Cable and Telecommunications Human Resources Association - The premier human capital resource for the industry and a growing nonprofit organization with 1,100 members spanning 100 companies. CTHRA provides industry-specific benchmarks, information and resources, as well as networking and educational opportunities.
  • Emma Bowen Foundation,The - Created in 1989 to prepare minority youth for careers in the media industry. The Foundation’s program is unlike traditional intern programs in that students work for partner companies during summers and school breaks from the summer following their junior year in high school until they graduate from college.
  • NAMIC - National Association for Multi-Ethnicity in Communications - The premier organization focusing on ethnic diversity in the communications industry. Founded 25 years ago as a non-profit trade association, today NAMIC is comprised of nearly 2,000 professionals belonging to a network of 19 chapters nationwide.
  • NATPE - National Association of Television Producers and Executives - After 15 years of operating independently, the DISCOP organization has partnered since 2005 with the National Association of Television Program Executives (NATPE). NATPE is a global non-profit organization dedicated to the creation, development and distribution of televised programming in all forms, across all mature and emerging media platforms.
  • NCTA - National Cable & Telecommunications Association - Founded in 1952, NCTA's primary mission is to provide its members with a strong national presence providing a single, unified voice on issues affecting the cable and telecommunications industry. NCTA represents cable operators serving more than 90 percent of the nation’s cable television households and more than 200 cable program networks, as well as equipment suppliers and providers of other services to the cable industry.
  • NCTC - National Cable Television Cooperative - A not-for-profit, member-operated purchasing organization. Our mission is to reduce the operating costs of our member cable companies. NCTC negotiates and administers master affiliation agreements with cable television programming networks, cable hardware and equipment manufacturers and other service providers on behalf of our member companies.
  • NCTI - National Cable Television Institute - Provides workforce performance products, services and education to the broadband and cable television industry. Additionally, Jones/NCTI offers broadband-specific professional development through college credit and industry certification support.
  • RTNDA - Radio and Television News Directors Association - RTNDA is the world's largest professional organization exclusively serving the electronic news profession, consisting of more than 3,000 news directors, news associates, educators and students. Founded as a grassroots organization in 1946, the association is dedicated to setting standards for newsgathering and reporting.
  • SCTE - Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers, The - The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) is a non-profit professional association that provides technical leadership for the telecommunications industry and serves its members through professional development, standards, certification and information.
  • WICT - Women in Cable Telecommunications - Developing women leaders is our mission. As the oldest and largest organization serving women professionals in cable and telecommunications, Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT) is at the forefront of an industry undergoing constant change.
