- Black Entertainment and Sports Lawyers Association (BESLA) - nonprofit organization comprised of law students, practicing lawyers, financiers, agents, managers and business executives in the music, sports, cable & broadcast television, film, new media, FCC regulation, concert production, management, marketing and publishing industries.
- NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People) – A civil rights organization trying to effectively create change for African Americans and bring to light social injustices.
- National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) – a 30 year strong assemblage of black professional and student journalists across the US, helping to promote each other in the media industry
- National Bar Association (NBA) - The nation's oldest and largest national association of predominately African-American lawyers and judges. Their national headquarters is located in Washington, DC, and their magazine, The National Bar Association Magazine, connects their 20,000 memberships of lawyers, judges, educators, and students.
- National Black Law Students Association - A national organization formed to articulate and promote the needs and goals of black law students and effectuate change in the legal community.
- National Black MBA Association, Inc. – A professional membership organization of Black graduates with MBAs, advanced degrees, and entrepreneurs. Established in 1970, the National Black MBA Association is dedicated to developing partnerships that result in the creation of intellectual and economic wealth in the black community.
- National Congress of Black Women (NCBW) – A non-profit organization dedicated to the educational, political, economic, and cultural development of African American women and their families, including their participation in all levels of government. It’s goal is to increase African American women’s participation in the educational, political, economic, and social arenas, as well as provide opportunities for women in government, nonprofit, and private sector leadership positions.
- National Council of Negro Women (NCNW) – A nonprofit membership organization with a mission to lead, develop, and advocate for women of African descent.
- National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) - One of the largest student-managed organizations in the country dedicated to increasing the number of black engineers who succeed professionally and positively impact the community.
- National Urban League - The nation's oldest and largest community- based movement devoted to empowering African Americans to enter the economic and social mainstream.
