Cable Cares About Diversity: Millennials Program

Careers in cable start here.

From the fastest Internet connections to the most-watched programming on television, today’s cable industry is at the center of an exciting revolution in media, entertainment and communications.

The Walter Kaitz Foundation works to put students in the center of the action.

The Foundation presents Cable Cares about Diversity: Millennials Program, an exclusive, day-long program that seeks to help college students identify cable industry career opportunities and meet with executives in the cable industry. It’s a perfect opportunity for students to:

  • Learn about business trends that are transforming cable.
  • Identify cable industry career opportunities that mesh with your skills and goals.
  • Hear from top executives and insiders who will offer advice about career development.

Students get to learn from insiders in cable operations, programming and technology while participating in panel discussions and informal networking. They also gain critical, real-world perspective on the industry and their potential place in it. Plus, Cable Cares about Diversity brings together career-recruitment specialists from top companies in a convenient opportunity to meet face-to-face.

Cable Cares About Diversity: Millennials Program

Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at the Los Angeles Convention Center

As a diversity advocate for the cable industry, the Foundation has created partnerships among cable member companies to cooperatively encourage high-potential college students, representing multi-ethnic backgrounds, to pursue careers in the cable industry. The partnership has resulted in a unique, one-day Master Class designed to bring Millennials together with influential executives in the cable industry for a day of learning and coaching. The purpose of the program is to educate Millennials about the cable industry, expose them to business trends and opportunities and help them to understand how to interpret trends that will shape essential business strategies in the decade ahead.
